Betty Ann Champagne

Betty Ann Champagne, 77, native of Westwego, LA and a resident of Bayou Blue, LA passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Albert Champagne; son, Allen Champagne (Angie); daughters, Priscilla Leblanc (Mike) and Charolette Brunet (Kevin); sister, Nancy Ancar (Terry); 8 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Guy Tony Oddo; mother, Ruby Mary Triche; brother, Freddie Oddo; and numerous step siblings.

Betty was a devoted wife and loving mother whose greatest joy was her family. She was an avid reader; she could often be found with a good book in hand. She was no stranger to hard work and took pride in her role on the sugar cane farm, becoming quite the good tractor driver along the way. She was a strong, hardworking woman who lived a life filled with love, family, and purpose. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 12:00PM on Friday, August 28, 2026 at St. Hilary Poitiers Catholic Church Cemetery.
