Barbara “Bobbie” Ann LeCompte Turlich, 92, a native of Bourg and resident of Thibodaux, Louisiana passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026 surrounded by her family. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was defined by her deep faith in God and a heart full of love, a special person giving her love and friendship freely to everyone she met.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Thursday, June 18th at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Thibodaux, Louisiana starting at 1:30 pm followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 3:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in a mausoleum at St.. Louis Cemetery in Houma at a later date.

Bobbie is survived by her daughters, Debi Frelich; Diane “Deedy” Delbert and husband, Kenny; Cyndi Keller Walton and husband, Dale; son, Robert Keller and wife, Bobi; stepdaughter, Cindy Turlich; sisters, Christine Palmisano and husband, John, Katherine LeCompte, and Susan Saltalamacchia; grandsons, Brian and Keith D’Angelo, Jacob and Joey Keller, Benjamin Delbert, and Lee Medemer: granddaughters, Jessica Granger, Tiffany Shipley, Kristina Lusco and Valerie Keller; 20 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and 2 on the way; and her beloved cat, Kiki.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Russel Keller, and 2nd husband, Clark “C.J.” Turlich; parents, Harris LeCompte and Vivian Stevens LeCompte Malone; brothers, Dana and Richard LeCompte; sister, Jerolyn Dixon; son-in-law, Darryl Frelich and her Godson, Danny Walker.

Bobbie’s life was filled with faith, creativity, friendship, and family. After retiring from Tenneco Oil Co., she discovered her talent for painting and embraced it with a passion. She loved to sing and in high school she came in 2nd place in a State Competition. Traveling gave her joy and she was able to live overseas, travel throughout the U.S. with C.J. and enjoy cruising with her dear friends, Jean and Jeanette.

She organized an Alzheimer’s Wives Club that later became the Golden Friends Lunch Club, bringing together women who found friendship, encouragement, and support through one another. She was also active with the Bayou Newcomers, the Red Hats and her Tuesday Art Group.

Bobbie will be remembered for the way she touched the lives of others making them feel seen, valued, and loved. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the friendships she nurtured, and the countless lives she brightened simply by being herself.
