She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Tracy Angelette; daughter and son-in-law, Mignon and Steve Gill; daughter, Domonique Angelette, and her companion, Al Dufour; grandchildren, Natalie Caldwell and her husband, Matthew, Nicholas Angelette and his fiancée, Laila Zirlott, Mark Angelette and his fiancée, Caroline Folse, Alexandra Gill, Stephen Gill, Layla Pitre, Ava Pitre, and Allen Dufour; her first great-grandchild on the way; brother and sister-in-law, Vendon Jr. and Emma Collins; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and P.J. St. Pierre; and sister, Susan Cheramie.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Roy R. “Bobby” Angelette Jr., and her parents, Vendon Collins Sr. and Gertie Brunet Collins.
Barbara devoted her life to ensuring that her family was always loved and cared for. She was a talented artist and wonderful cook. Her love for art set an example for her children and grandchildren, showing them that making the best of the talents we are given requires time, patience and hard work. She had a passion for making great food, and she knew that bringing family together through her cooking was about more than a good meal—it was about nourishing the spirit with good conversation and quality family time.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and treasured the many years she and Bobby had together. Above all, she cherished the quiet moments they shared and simply being with Bobby, the love of her life.
