Avery J. Vedros, 78, a native of Mathews and a resident of Thibodaux, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at St. Hilary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Tuesday with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by wife, Barbara Barrios Vedros; daughter, Jan V. Alvarez and husband Pedro; son, Gilford J. Vedros and wife Shonet; granddaughter, Kristyn Alvarez and brother, Lester Vedros.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilford Pierre Vedros and Bridget Perry Vedros and brothers, Raymond and Randolph Vedros.
Avery was a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League and Knights of Columbus of St. Hilary.
Falgout Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
