Augustin “A.J.” Plaisance, Jr., 68, a native of Westwego and a resident of Larose, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.
Visitation will be from 10:30 am until 12:00 pm on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Golden Meadow, LA. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 12:00 pm.
He is survived by his wife, Ramona Plaisance; daughters, Tara Thums (Joseph) and Amber Plaisance (companion, Isaiah); grandchildren, Darcie Griffin (Lainey) and Kaden Gravois; brothers, Johnny, Donald, and Arnold Plaisance.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Augustin Sr. and Gustavia Plaisance; brother, Ronald Plaisance and sister, Arlene Guidry.
He loved fishing, carving ducks and spending time with his family. A.J. was a boat captain for 35 years, a Mason and a Shriner.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
