Annette Bergeron Savoie Cognevich, 93, native and resident of Lockport, Louisiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, November 23, 2025.
Annette is survived by her children, Claire Savoie (James) Champagne, Chris J. (Myra) Savoie, and Connie Savoie (Sonny) Levron; her stepson, Drew Cognevich; 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Myrtle B. Parks; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Annette was preceded in death by her first husband, Sergie R. Savoie; her second husband, Andrew C. Cognevich Sr.; her son, Edmond J. (Renee) Savoie; her parents, Edmond Adolph and Annette Rogers Bergeron; her siblings, Edmond Bergeron, Elodie B. Bourguieres, Gert B. Bush, Clothild B. Combre, Willard Bergeron, Wilbert Bergeron, Russell Bergeron, Alvoid Bergeron, Gloria B. Talbot, and Theresa B. Bellanger.
Annette had a beautiful and blessed life. She loved her family and cooking for them, especially her white beans, whenever she could. She enjoyed bingo, bowling, dancing, pokeno, and her Coca-Cola and Blue Bell Dutch Chocolate ice cream.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, November 29th, 2025, at Holy Savior Little Church, from 9:00 AM until the service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM, with a graveside service to follow in the Church’s cemetery.
