Amos Joseph Dufrene, Jr., 81, a native of Bayou Gauche, LA, former resident of Pascagoula, MS and resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Falgout Funeral Home, Raceland, LA. Religious services will be at 11:00 am with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Thibodaux, LA.
He is survived by his wife, Meloni “Bambi” Daughtrey Dufrene; former wife, Phyllis Dufrene; son, Paul Amos Dufrene; daughter, Tara Lynn Dufrene-Farmer (William “Billy” Farmer); step son, Joseph Daniel Foley; step daughter, Megan Foley; grandchildren, Cody Paul Dufrene, Aubrielle Ann Coldros, Waylon Joseph Farmer, Dylan Travis Farmer and Ramzie Erin Schiewe; step grandchildren, Krista Foley, Keely Foley, Ayden Hovermale, Mahlanee Foley and Karis Foley; great grandchildren, Rayla Schiewe, Madden Dufrene, Brayden Dufrene and Emma Dufrene; brother, Walter “Butsy” Dufrene; sister, Helen Dufrene Gonzales and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos Dufrene, Sr. and Virginia Matherne Dufrene; brothers, Leroy Dufrene and Blaine Dufrene and sisters, Carol Gieseler and Iris Dufrene.
Amos enjoyed fishing, cooking, golfing and a good joke. He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
