Alton S. Terrebonne, Sr., 80, a native and resident of Galliano, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021.
Visitation will be from 8:30 am until 12:00 p+m on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galliano, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm with burial to follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, Golden Meadow, LA.
He is survived by his companion, Jeanette Cheramie; sons, Alton S. Terrebonne, Jr. and Kevin Terrebonne; daughters, Sheila Tribe, Deborah Creppel, Karen T. Griffin, Katherine Terrebonne, Donna Terrebonne and Robin Terrebonne Treadway; sisters, Elaine Comeaux, Deborah Rood; 27 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Anita Terrebonne; son, Steven Terrebonne; parents, Loveless and Louvella Terrebonne; step mother, Theresa Terrebonne; brothers, Menton Terrebonne, Walton Terrebonne, Sr. and sister, Rose Terrebonne.
He was a jack of all trades and a master boat builder.
