Alice Mae Tastet Plaisance

Alice Mae Tastet Plaisance, 85, a native and resident of Raceland, died on August 3, 2024.

Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church, on Friday, August 9th from 9 am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 am with burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery.

Alice is survived by her husband of 64 years, Nessie Plaisance; daughter, Betty Plaisance Foret; son, Robert Plaisance; grandsons, Steven Foret and wife, Tracy and Blaine Foret; great grandsons, Mason and Ashton Foret; sister, Catherine Tastet Klingman; brothers, Stanley Tastet, Tilden Tastet and Bobby Tastet.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Tastet and Marie Josephine Griffin Tastet; son-in-law, John G. Foret and her brother, Leroy Tastet.

She loved embroidery, adult coloring and helping people. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be truly missed.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Thibodaux Regional and St. Joseph Hospice for their loving care and compassion during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, Mass donations would be preferred.
