Alice "Liz" Mapes May

Alice “Liz” Elizabeth Mapes May, 82, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 1:10 p.m. She was a native of Albany and resident of Houma, LA.

Liz is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Domingue, Shannon Naquin, and Jerisse Sanchez; son-in-law, Chester Sloan; brothers-in-law, John Smith and Hulan Taylor; and 10 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.

Liz was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Wilford L. Lilly and 2nd husband, David F. May; parents, Thomas and Alice Mapes; daughter, Stacy Sloan; son-in-law, Tommy Domingue; brother, Tommy Mapes; sisters, Jackie Smith, Madge Simmons, and Carolyn Taylor; and brother-in-law, Valmon Simmons.
