Alice Jean Sparrow Bourgeois, 88, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023. She was a native of Colfax and resident of Lockport, LA.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
She is survived by sons, Joseph N. Bourgeois III and wife, Sherryl, and Reed J. Bourgeois and wife, Gwen; daughters, Dana B. French, Eve B. Bourgeois and husband, Dr. Fred, and Ann B. Barker and husband, Patrick; brother, John W. Sparrow Jr. and wife, Linda; grandchildren, Mandi Bourgeois, Kathleen French, Mallory French, Marie McClain, Justin Bourgeois, Kaytlin Wehby, Julie Bourgeois, Rachel Bourgeois, Madeline Bourgeois, Joseph Bourgeois, Jacob Barker, and Brooke Barker; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Joseph Napoleon Bourgeois Jr.; daughter, Deborah Ann Bourgeois; parents, John Webster Sr. and Essie Lee Honeycutt Sparrow; and sister, Julia S. Nichols.
Falgout Funeral Home was entrusted with private arrangements and burial.
