Adam "Pip" Verdin Sr.

Adam “Pip” Verdin Sr., 82, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, Louisiana passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, July 31, 2026 at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano, Louisiana from 5:00PM to 9:00PM. Visitation will continue at Falgout Funeral Home on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 8:00AM to 10:30AM with A Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with burial to follow at Cheramie Cemetery. 

Adam is survived by his children, Rebecca, Eric (Shana), Adam Jr. (Sandra), Edward (Desira), Justillien Verdin, and Julienne Toups (Clark); stepchildren, Donna Poche (Carlton Sr.), Leroy Shadell, Rocky Guidry (Liz); companion, Carolyn Babin and children, Trudy, Christy, Melissa, Dana, and Troy; brother, Cledemire Verdin; sister, Marie Serigny; 20 grandchildren; 17 step-grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; 6 step-great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren; and his 2nd wife, Betty Ford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julien and Bridgette Dardar Verdin; wife, Annabelle Guidry Verdin; son, Wayne (Verdin) Stewart; daughter, Pearl Verdin Shadell; stepsons, Dale Shadell Sr., and Leffrey (Pye) Duet; grandchildren, Eric Verdin Jr., Lionel Shadell, and Lexie Verdin; brothers, Joseph, Gabriel, Emile, Michael, and Nelson Verdin; and his 1st wife, Thelma Stewart.

Adam was a jack of all trades, working as a welder, electrician, oysterman, truck driver, trawler, and handyman, but enjoyed his family and his music most of all; aside from dancing and casinos. Adam loved meeting people and will always be loved and missed by all.
