On Tuesday, February 16, 2021, Wesley David Bromley passed away at the age of 72 surrounded by his family.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 10:45 am on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Falgout Funeral Home, 600 Church St., Lockport, LA. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Tuesday at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church, 333 Twin Oaks Dr., Raceland, LA.
Wesley David Bromley was born on December 17, 1948 to Wesley and Helen Bromley. He grew up in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania with his four sisters Ginger Kolarcik, Kathy Ann McCurdy, Darlene Hall, and JoAnn Puhr. He graduated from St Mary's High School and went on to Ohio State University to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Education. On March 11, 1972, he married Kristine Keppel. He enlisted in the Army Security Agency where he studied Russian in California for 1 year and spent his remaining 3 years of service in Germany.
He resided in Terrytown, LA for 43 years where he worked as a food service director in multiple local hospitals. He raised 3 children: Bryan Bromley (Danielle), Jennifer Leo (Jeff), and Rebecca Zeringue (Brock) and was the proud grandfather of Sean, Logan, Cynthia, Hunter, Reid, and Easton.
He will be most remembered for his easy-going spirit and his willingness to help others. He enjoyed being with his family and friends and would never turn down an opportunity to go fishing.
He spent his final years in Mathews, LA living an easy life tending to his vegetable garden and enjoyed being surrounded by his family.
