Mr. Ollen Anthony Chauvin, Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ollen Anthony “Andy” Chauvin, Jr., age 65, a resident of Bayou Blue, passed away on December 20, 2020 at 4:05 pm, after a battle with lung cancer, Metastatic Carcinoma. Visitation will be from 8:30 am to 10:00 am on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Gray, LA. Burial will follow at Cross Church Cemetery on Coteau Road. Andy is survived by his wife of 35 years, Connie Chaisson Chauvin; mother, Doris Gautreaux Bourg; brothers, Alex Chauvin, Barry Chauvin (Betty); sister, Denise Chauvin Petit (Pete Webber); sisters-in-law, Rebecca St. Germaine (Kenny Sr.), Rachel Guzman; brother-in-law, Stuart Chaisson and many nieces and nephews who adored and loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, Ollen A. Chauvin, Sr. and grandparents, Argus and Meloie Savoie Chauvin and Alex Augus Gautreaux and Maggie Pitre Gautreaux. He was a welder ty trade, mechanic and some carpenter work. He loved reading the Bible every day, along with playing games on his laptop. He was a drummer with several bands. He would practice his music on his guitars every day. The last band he was with was members only Band, where they played at Yogi Bear in Robert, LA, where he loved to camp with many friends and family. He never met a stranger, was always a constant source of entertainment for all! He was always willing to help everyone. If you asked for help he would always say it will cost you $2.00. He will sadly be missed by all. He loved having dogs in his life. The family would like to thank the staff at Thibodaux General and the 2nd floor north nurses for the kind and pleasant stay. Also the staff of Aim Palliative Home Health along with St. Joseph Hospice.
