Elaine Marie Martin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Elaine Marie Martin, 91, a native of Chauvin and resident of Gray, La, died on Friday, July 22, 2022. Family and friends are invited to share in honoring her life with visitation being held on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Falgout Funeral Home, 211 Westside Blvd, Houma, LA 70364 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM. A mass of Christian burial will begin at 11:00 AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, with a rosary being said at 10:15AM. Burial will follow at St. Francis No. 2 Cemetery in Houma. Elaine is survived by her Daughter, Wanda Terrebonne (David) Milstead; her Niece, Godchild, and Caregiver for the last 7 ½ years – Darlene Martin (Lonnie) Eschete; Grandson, Michael Milstead; and Sister, Sherry Martin. She is preceded in death by her son, Wayne Patrick Terrebonne; her parents Eustache and Alice Martin; Stepmother, Cecile Benoit; Brothers, Russell Martin, Sr., David Martin, Sr., Percy Martin, Sr., Michael Martin, Sr., and Ronnie “Boy Boy” Martin; Sisters, Alma Lebouef, Yvonne Duet, Jane Ellender, June Martin, Rosabelle Prosperie; and Step-brother, Allen Benoit. Elaine loved sharing God's word with others and fulfilled her life serving those in need in the name of Jesus. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Past President of the Oakshire Garden Club, an Insurance agent for many years, and a secretary of the American Red Cross. In her later years, she enjoyed crocheting prayer shawls for the elderly and sick. The family wishes to thank Notre Dame Hospice especially Francis, Lacy, Dawn and Deacon Brent for their compassion and care. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
